Overview

Easy muting/unmuting for when you're in a Google Meet.

Easily mute and unmute your Google Meet tabs! With this extension, you can: - Set global keyboard shortcuts to toggle muting from anywhere - See if you are currently muted from the app's icon - Toggle muting by clicking the app's icon * When the app's icon is tri-colored, there is no active Google Meet session. * When the app's icon is green colored, the microphone is currently unmuted. * When the app's icon is red colored, the microphone is currently muted. To set the keyboard shortcuts, right click the app icon -> Manage Extensions. From there, click the hamburger menu -> Keyboard shortcuts. Here you can set keyboard shortcuts for any extension. You can also specify Chrome (when Chrome is in focus) or Global (when any window is in focus). If you have a feature request or any feedback, tweet me @mattsimonis Meet Mute is open source! It's a nice extension but it will be removed soon and the original developer no longer maintains it. So i have upgraded it based on this extension: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/mute-tab/djnlklfindboblpikpeaedoamfhgklfd

Not working correctly with Version 121.0.6167.185 (Official Build) (64-bit) Verified: Site access is "automatically allow access on the following sites: https://meet.google.com/*" If I mute from inside the meet window, the icon updates to match. If I click the icon, it changes, but does not mute the meet window. I then cannot reset the top icon without muting and unmuting inside the meet window. This is a lifesaver! It's a game changer to be able to mute/unmute yourself from any Chrome tab or window or even application. To set keyboard shortcuts, make sure you read the instructions (right click the icon > manage extensions > click the three lines icon on the top left corner > keyboard shortcuts). Thanks for making this extension!
