The extension is a document and image converter toolbox. It converts Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Postscript, and major image formats to PDF. Converts PDF to thumbnails, text, or postscript. Converts Latex equations to image. Extracts text from images using optical character recognition OCR. Converts Latex documents to Word. Provides conversion among major image formats. Chrome Extensions are not allowed to load local files for security purposes. Therefore, this extension is limited to converting your online files only.

Simple, but I don't know why people are rating it so poorly! For me it worked perfectly, except that the quality of the images and the design could have improved. If there is no other alternative, it can be useful.
