Manage your office calls from your browser with the 3CX Extension for Chrome. Requires 3CX Version 16.
With the 3CX extension you can manage your office calls directly from your browser. No matter which window or tab you’re working on, the extension will notify you of an incoming call. Should you need to transfer a call you can check the status of your colleagues before transferring the call to them. Additionally, the extension works flawlessly with your CRM. Incoming caller IDs are matched against the database and call history is also logged. Important read: This extension is only for use with 3CX V16 and is not a standalone extension.

For those trying to get this to work on Windows, the blog post https://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/v18-update2/ is not at all clear, but, this extension will no longer work on Windows *at all*. This will only work for Mac and Linux users. it took quite a lot of back and forth in the 3CX support forums to have this clarified. Unfortunately, Windows users need to install the desktop client to get the extension functionality back. On the plus side, it seems to be working fine on my Macbook.
