2L2W turns a long video into something you can read in a minute — and then lets you ask it questions. Open a YouTube video, click the toolbar icon, and a side panel opens next to the player. Pick a language and a format, press Summarize, and the summary streams in as it is written. The video keeps playing. The page never changes. WHAT YOU GET • Six formats — detailed paragraphs, key takeaways, 80/20 (a summary plus what the video broadly covers and the small part carrying most of the value), Q&A for podcasts and interviews, ELI5 for technical material, and pros & cons for reviews and comparisons. • Three languages — Turkish, English, or the video's own language. A Turkish summary of an English video is one press, not a translation step. • A custom instruction that refines the format instead of replacing it: ask it to focus on the benchmarks, or to skip the sponsor segment. • Follow-up questions. Fast answers from the summary; Detailed re-reads the whole transcript to catch what the summary left out. Every answer says which mode produced it, so a shallow answer is never a mystery. • A separate summary and conversation per tab, kept while you switch away and come back. BRING YOUR OWN KEY 2L2W has no server and no subscription. You paste a free Google AI Studio key into its settings once, and requests go from your browser straight to Google — using free-tier Gemini Flash for every feature, so it costs nothing to run. PRIVACY There is no backend, no database, no analytics and no telemetry. No data reaches the author of this extension, because there is nowhere for it to be sent. Your transcripts and questions go only to Google's Gemini API under your own key, and are subject to Google's free-tier terms — which may include use of submitted data to improve their models. Your API key is stored unencrypted in local extension storage, and summaries and chats are held in memory only and cleared when you close the browser.
