Overview
Transform the web into an 18th-century printed book.
1751 transforms any webpage into an 18th-century printed book page. Text renders in typefaces evocative of those cut in the eighteenth century. The first letter of each article appears as an illuminated drop cap letter; bold text becomes small caps; bullets become asterisks; “and” becomes “&”, just as printers did 300 years ago. A subtle paper texture replaces harsh white screens. It works everywhere: Google, Reddit, X, Wikipedia, news sites, & more. Read the internet as if it were printed in the age of Voltaire, Diderot, & Franklin.
