Overview
Right-click any link to add it to Chrome's reading list. The page title is fetched in the background without opening a new tab.
Found an article you want to read later? You don't have to open it first. Right-click the link, choose "Add link to reading list", and the extension fetches the page title in the background and adds it to Chrome's built-in reading list. Features • One right-click to save a link, with the page title fetched automatically • Detects the page's character encoding, so titles from non-UTF-8 sites are not garbled • Falls back to "domain + path" when a title cannot be fetched • Never adds the same link twice • Menu item appears only on http / https links • English and Chinese UI, following Chrome's language Privacy No server, no analytics, no data collection. When you click the menu item, the extension sends one cookie-less request to the link you clicked, reads the page title (at most 512 KiB), and stores the entry through Chrome's reading list API. It never reads or modifies the page you are viewing. Requires Chrome 120 or later. Open source: https://github.com/dougefla/reading-list-link
