Overview
Test web interfaces through perception simulations and contrast checks — locally on the current tab.
Perception simulator is a local tool for designers, developers, and accessibility specialists. It helps test how an interface looks and feels under different perception conditions: color blindness, cataract, tunnel vision, dyslexia, tremor, intoxicated perception, and a CRT monitor effect. The extension works only on the current tab and opens in Chrome’s persistent side panel. You can adjust effect intensity, blur, mask size, text behavior, and CRT settings. It also includes an element contrast checker: select any element to see its color, visible background, contrast ratio, and WCAG AA/AAA status. The checker accounts for transparent layers and, for complex or dynamic backgrounds, analyses visible pixels. Key benefits: all effects and calculations run locally in the browser, no page data is sent to servers, and the original page state can be restored with one click. The interface is available in English and Russian, with light and dark themes.
