Macedonian spell checker and grammar checker (проверка на правопис и граматика), entirely on your device. No text ever leaves your machine: no server, no internet, no analytics. It works offline, inside your browser. Macedonian is not supported by LanguageTool, Grammarly or any other serious proofreading tool. Lektor-MK is an attempt at the first real one: spelling and grammar that run completely on your own computer. WHAT IT CHECKS 19 rules, each with positive and negative tests: • Spelling: 880,826 forms in a compact FST (1.50 MB), with suggestions ranked by frequency • Adjective agreement: убаво книга → the adjective must agree with its noun in gender and number • Subject–verb agreement: тој сакаат → the verb must agree with its subject in person and number • Mixed scripts: Latin letters hidden inside Cyrillic words (мaкeдoнски), invisible to the eye • Foreign Cyrillic letters: Serbian ђ ћ, Russian ъ ы э я ю, Bulgarian щ • Latin-transliterated Macedonian, converted back to Cyrillic • Double definiteness: убавата книгата → убавата книга • Clitic order: ми го даде ✓, го ми даде ✗ • Dative ѝ as opposed to the conjunction и • L-participle agreement: таа дошол ✗ • Fused не: несака → не сака • Separated нај and по: нај добар → најдобар, по добар → подобар • Numerals: два книги → две книги; the count form пет града, not пет градови • Object doubling: Видов книгата → Ја видов книгата • Serbianisms: увек → секогаш, сутра → утре • Punctuation: lowercase sentence start, space before a comma or period HOW YOU USE IT As you type in any text field, flagged words get a wavy underline. Click an underline for the rule name, a short explanation and a one-click fix. If the word is correct, add it to your personal dictionary. The toolbar popup offers a quick check of pasted text and next-word autocomplete. Settings give you a master switch, a check delay, per-site pausing and a toggle for every rule. PRIVACY • Nothing is collected, stored, transmitted or shared • Zero network requests. No analytics, no telemetry, no accounts • storage: only your settings and personal dictionary, on your device • activeTab: to recognise the current site for per-site pausing • clipboardWrite: to copy a suggestion when you click it COMPATIBILITY Chrome, Edge and other Chromium browsers; Firefox 140+ on desktop and Firefox for Android 142+. Works in text areas, text inputs and rich-text editors. Google Docs draws text on a canvas extensions cannot read: paste into the toolbar popup instead. LICENSE AND SOURCE GPL-3.0-or-later.
